British Racers Go 1 & 2 on the ice in Sweden
Hometown team edged out at the finish line finishing 4th.
A very exciting if not confusing race was ran last night with the Royal Auto Club (RAC) followed by the United Kingdom Dairyman's Association (UKDMA) and the Middle Europe Auto Club (MMEW) coming in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
The most dramatic moment was in the very last half of the race when RAC was leading but decided to perform a TEC pit, taking on more components but giving the lead to UKDMA. While the spectators gasp the Dairymen shrugged and powered up the snow packed trail. But as the cars turned onto the ice and toward the finish the RAC had tracked down the milkman and in the end passed him with no margin to spare.
Other exciting moments were when the German ADAC team decided to Fuck It and ended up hurtling their car into the trees. Despite spectator help the car was out of commission. His second car faired slightly better but by mid point in the race he rubbed up on the slow but stead French team and they knocked the Germans off the track. A bit of payback for WWI perhaps? Herr Furher will not be pleased and indeed Mercedes decided to sponsor the winning British team for now. A short two lap race was run by the German team.
Next week the circuit turns to Monaco with it's warm and sunny French Riviera beaches. No more snow and ice for the racers. Monaco is the first Grand Prix of the season and teams will want to earn the prestigious Monaco race trophy and to drive their best for the fans.
