In our practice rounds we had an opportunity to drive various cars and see how cars can make a difference in race strategy. Now as we approach our first race (Tuesday, May 29th at 5:30) I thought it might be useful for everyone to have an opportunity to take a look at the drivers.
Here are some things to think about when looking at a driver's card. There are 4 nations represented in the game. They are, Germany, France, United Kingdom and Italy. If you match a driver with a national car, like a German driver with a Mercedes, then in certain Grand Prix races you'll automatically earn more prestige. The nation is noted on the driver's card by their prestige cost as follows: RM = Reichsmarks, Germany, F = Francs, France, L = Lira, Italy and the British pound sign = UK, United Kingdom. There is one exception the American Rex Mays, he uses the dollar sign. He won't get you a bonus.
The most expensive drivers cost 6 and the least cost 1. The more expensive drivers have better abilities, better modifiers to their starting pole position roll and can survive crashes easier.
All drivers only drive certain types of cars. Some drive only one brand, other drive them all.
Each driver, with the exception of Guy Noir, is a real historic figure that participated in the Golden Age of Auto Racing. Their abilities reflect their personal skill and as much as possible those card abilities are based on their historic performances.
Here is the link to my Google Drive and a PDF of all the drivers.
See you all on Tuesday!
